68? 72? 68? Dart
Owner:  Kyle Kohr
This Dart, started life in 1968.  It was a 383, 4 speed car race in stock eliminator.  It was raced by Charlie Allen, mainly know for for racing funny cars on the west coast.

Somwhere in the early 70's the car was turned into a prostock car.  It had been transformed into a 72 Dart at that time.  The car did keep the blue and silver paint scheme that it has worn as a race car in stock eliminator.

Around 1989, this car was purchased by Roland Osborne of Chrysler Power Magazine.  The car was used as a test mule for the magazine.  Different companies would send Roland there products to put on the Dart in exchange for the prestige of putting the parts on the car and racing it, along with getting great magazine coverage of installing and using the parts.
In the late 90's, Kohr's Kustoms had been invited to do tech articles for Chrysler Power magazine.  During that time, the Dart had come up for sale, along with a bunch of parts.  Allen and Dennis decided to jointly make the purchase.  Allen would get the car and Dennis would get the motor and parts.  Since that car was Chrysler Powers for 11 years, it was difficult to go anywhere and not have the car called the Chrysler Power Dart.  So, the car was pulled into the shop and painted white with a blue tailstripe.  After racing the car several times between Allen and younger brother Tommy, the car was sold to a friend, Earl Hollinger.  Earl raced the dart for several years at different Mopar shows and some local tracks, and, for a little while, even gave up the driving duties to his grandson.  In the meantime, Earl had found another car for himself , and in exchange for work being done to this new project, had offered the Dart back to Kohr's Kustoms.  Well, 13 year old Kyle decided that this would be a really cool car to have, if it was a 68 Dart.  In May of 2009, the Dart was delivered back to Kohr's Kustoms for Kyle.  Kyle has started the project of tearing the car apart and returning the car back to the 68 Dart that it was.
Here the Dart is pictured during the time that Chrysler Power had owned the car.

Kyle has had a busy summer.  He was working on taking off the 72 front end and replacing it with 68 parts..
The information on this car is very limited from 1968 through the time that Roland Osborne of Chrysler Power purchased the car.  If anyone has more information on this car it would be greatly appreciated.
